"Supergirl" stars Melissa Benoist and Chyler Leigh both expressed excitement about the show. Meanwhile, episode 2 is slated to be released on Oct. 26 on CBS.

Benoist, who plays the role of Kara Danver, appeared at the screening of the show's pilot episode where she signed autographs and handed out capes, Vine Report has learned. The "Glee" alum admitted that she was excited about being "Supergirl."

"It's the first day of school. I couldn't sleep last night, like it was Christmas Eve!" the 26-year-old actress added.

Chyler Leigh, who's playing Benoist's on-screen sister, also expressed the same amount of excitement. The Showbiz Junkies found out that Leigh believed that her character Alex Danver, will give an a little touch of the "unexpected" because she is not one of those previously established characters in the DC universe.

"I'm excited to be stepping into the show like this because I'm kind of a wild card," the former "Grey's Anatomy" star said. "It really is an opportunity to bring something new into what everybody knows already."

"Everybody else has a lot of homework to do and figure all that out, and I kind of just get to enjoy it," she added.

Leigh didn't give much detail about season one and admitted that anything could happen. A lot is expected from the show and they feel the pressure, but more importantly, they are enjoying.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that Clark Kent, "Supergirl's" cousin, may make an appearance. However, there are no confirmations yet from the network.

CBS has already released an official "Supergirl" behind-the-scenes footage, according to Blastr. The clip showed off the Danvers sisters and Hank Hensahw, played by David Harewood, in a desert testing how powerful Supergirl could be.

"Supergirl," after the premiere of Episode 2, will continue its regular time slot on Nov. 2 at 8 P.M.
