Ellen DeGeneres' voice will be heard on the big screen once again as she will reprise her role as the adorable blue tang, Dory, in the "Finding Nemo" sequel, "Finding Dory," according to Venture Capital Post

Degeneres first voiced the titular character of the Pacific, who happens to be a regal blue tang with a knack for poor memory in "Finding Nemo," in 2003. The bulk of the sequel now takes place at a marine biology institute with the plot giving more emphasis on Dory's backstory.

The said movie will also be greatly influenced by the 2013 documentary film "Blackfish" by Gabriela Cowperhwaite, Movie News Guide has learned.

As per The Bitbag, Degeneres said, "I have waited for this day for a long, long, long long, long, long time, but the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I love about the first one: it's got a lot of heart, it's really funny, and the best part is — it's got a lot more Dory."

Other characters that are confirmed to return for the aquatic adventure with Dory are Marlin (Albert Brooks), the single-dad clownfish; Gil (Willem Dafoe), the sly Moorish idol and Deb (Vicki Lewis), the slightly delusional four-striped damselfish.

Joining the cast are newcomers Jenny (Diane Keaton) and Charlie (Eugene Levy), who are Dory's parents and Bailey (Ty Burrell) a beluga whale.

Actress Kaitlin Olson will voice Dory's adoptive sister, a killer whale. Actors Dominic West and Idris Elba are also cast but with unspecified roles. Andrew Stanton, who directed the original movie, will return as writer and director, Movie News Guide has learned.

Unfortunately, Nemo might not return because it is reported that the voice of Alexander Gould who previously voiced Nemo has deepened with age.

The movie has been confirmed to give its first look at the Disney's D23 Expo on Aug. 14 to 16, in Anaheim, California.
