"Clash of Clans" continues to conquer the mobile gaming world. So what's new with "CoC" especially now that it's celebrating its third anniversary?

Just recently, the famous online video game updated its gameplay and upgrades. New features were added that's surely going to entice the mobile gamers.

Let's do a quick rundown.

First up, the level 5 Dragons. These fellas are available at Town Hall 10 at eight million elixirs with a requirement of an updated laboratory.

Meanwhile, the cost of level 4 Dragons has been lowered to six million elixirs and there is no need for a laboratory update, BitBag learned.

Next is the loot collecting.

Players will need to say goodbye from using lightning spells to steal loot from their opponents by destroying the elixir storage because that has been disallowed. Rather, players can use the spell to kill the resource collector and enemy troops.

Supercell has also altered the "Clash of Clans" multiplayer algorithms to prevent or give a penalty to those who would dump on the platform.

As what has been mentioned earlier, "Clash of Clans" is celebrating its third year anniversary. With that comes their latest offer, the gem boost.

This gem boost offer gives the "CoC" players a chance to max out their source of production rate of six gold mines, six elixir collectors and two dark elixir collectors at the cost of 14 gems available to players with level nine Town Hall, International Business Times reported.

More advanced players can boost seven gold mines, elixir collectors and three dark elixir collectors for 17 gems. The boost will begin upon the player's activation and will end after a week, regardless if it's expired or not.

Players will have until Aug. 7 to avail the one week boost.

This may sound a bit complicated to first timers, but don't fret. Here are some tips shared by Android Origin to get started.

Understand first that gems are very important, so they shouldn't be wasted on insignificant things. The site advised to use them on permanent things.

Expanding the Town Halls have pros and cons. The bigger your Town Hall, the less loot you will get from other bases that are low levelled.

On the other hand, expanding it as quickly as possible will be a big help in building more troops. So it is really dependent on how the player creates a strategy for his game.

Finally, analyze the strengths and weaknesses of each base, as well as the troops. This will help you strategize your defense and raids.

"Clash of Clans" convention in Finland will be on Oct. 24.
