With the iPhone 5 release approaching and new products emerging (and rumored to be emerging), Apple makes headlines quite frequently. The company has done it again, and although not as colossal as other headlining stories, it was recently announced that Apple has added a "Food and Drink" Section to the App Store.

The new Food and Drink listing includes everything from restaurant locators to recipe apps to Starbuck's own program. When Apple users tap over to the section, they will find a host of applications that offer everything from recipes and restaurant locators to programs from well-known companies, such as Starbucks and Pizza Hut, according to CNET.

From time to time, Apple has added new sections to the App Store. In March, for instance, the company added a Catalogs section, which made its debut when the new iPad was launched.

"The impact of the iPad in the shopping and publication industries has been massive," Joaquin Ruiz, CEO of Catalog Spree, said in a statement sent to the media. "Adding an app category is not something that Apple does lightly and we believe Apple's decision reflects the importance of this use-case in the Apple App Store ecosystem."
