"Sister Wives" season 6 is getting more and more heartbreaking for Meri Brown, who has agreed to divorce Kody in favor of friend and co-wife Robyn to become the lawfully wedded wife of their sole husband. However, it appears that she may not be regretting the legal split in the new sneak peek at the upcoming season of the TLC reality series.

In the teaser clip uploaded by TheWrap, Meri could be seen confiding her decision to divorce Kody with Robyn, telling the latter that "the divorce is final." Robyn is of course surprised since Meri has not talked this through with Kody.

Meri then continues with her pep talk by saying that she's doing this brave gesture for the kids. "If ever I'm having an emotional moment about what I lost, I just think, 'It's not about me. It's about the kids.' And that what makes me happy," she says in the clip.

Despite the semi-emotional conversation between Meri and Robyn, they wrap things up with some laughs as Meri says, "Maybe I should tell Kody we're divorced."

In her confessional moment, Meri even laughs as she says, "I just have to laugh about it cuz it just feels so stupid to me."

Stupid or not, some fans consider this an act of bravery since Meri is doing this to help Robyn secure her kids from a previous marriage. As per Day Herald, Robyn is going through "a nasty legal battle" with her ex-husband and the the legal courts are not allowing Kody to adopt Robyn's kids since she is not his legal wife.

Despite Meri's optimism based on the sneak peek, it's clear to see that she's also feeling regret and sorrow as her marriage with Kody is about to terminate.

Some of her latest tweets even hint that she's having a hard time accepting the divorce. "Having faith in the unseen can be so hard sometimes. Gotta just pull up your bootstraps and deal. And trust. Always trust," she tweeted. Then she added, "Even just a small loss is a loss. Sometimes you wonder how you'll deal with something you've had, and now it's gone."

Meanwhile, the "Sister Wives" family is still battling Utah's appeal against a decision of a judge to strike down a part of the polygamy ban in the state. The Browns are now suing the state claiming that this appeal is violating their right to practice freely their religion and their rights as citizens of the state, Fox13Now has learned.

"From the very outset of the case, the Brown family maintained that it was not challenging the right of any state to criminalize bigamy or the possession of multiple state marriage licenses by individuals. The Browns also consistently asserted that they were not arguing for the state recognition of plural marriage," the Browns' attorney Jonathan Turley wrote in a court filing.

"Sister Wives" season 6 is set to premiere on Sept. 13, Sunday, at 9/8c on TLC.
