Amazon Prime TV will be releasing some shows on Sept. 1. While many series and movie fanatics, especially members of Amazon Prime, are already anticipating this event, there are some who still have a little idea of what this is all about.

Before it will hit the market tomorrow, let's take a look quick recap. Below are the five Amazon Prime TV facts you should know about.

1.     What is Amazon Prime TV?

This is a part of Amazon Prime Instant Video, which is streaming -video section of Amazon Prime. Just like Netflix and Hulu Plus, Amazon offers streaming of TV shows and movies — some are free, some are being rented and purchased.

2.     Amazon Prime Subscription is an advantage, but not a pre-requisite.

Subscribing to Prime will give a customer a lot of savings in using this service. Amazon Prime Instant video offers around 150,000 videos, and about 40,000 of which are accessible for unlimited streaming with subscription.

Customers, who are not Prime members, can use the service, but they will have to buy or rent the shows. The prices for each content vary, from $2 for each TV episode up to $30 or more for the whole season package.

3.     The service is not available for Android devices.

The service is not available in gadgets with Android OS, except for Amazon's Kindle Fire tablets. Apparently, the company doesn't have plans yet of changing that policy, according to Tom's Guide.

The FAQ report on Tom's Guide further stated that Amazon Prime TV shows and movies can be watched on PC, Mac and Linux computers; new and last-gen consoles. For iOS users, an app called Amazon Prime can be downloaded on the devices.

Roku set-top boxes can also take advantage of the service, as well as most smart TVs, except Google Chromecast or Apple TV.

4.     Some of the shows that will premiere on Sept. 1 are...

"The Todrick Show" season 1, "Girl Code Live" season 1 and "Awkward" season 5, as per IGN's report. "The Blair Witch Project" and "Hannibal Rising (2007)" will also be released in Sept. 1

5.     Amazon Prime TV will also air reruns of the shows despite being on-air. They are...

CBS' "Under the Dome," "Under the Dome" of HBO and PBS' "Downton Abbey." Fox News additionally reported that viewers could also stream some older shows such as "The Wire" of HBO.
