Apple’s iOS 9.0.2 update has already started rolling, and it promises bug fixes to improve the performance of the Cupertino-headquartered tech company’s products, especially on its iPhones.

Apple reportedly released its iOS.9.2 update yesterday morning and stopped the signing window for earlier versions the iOS 9.0 and the iOS 8.4.1. According to 9To5Mac, by closing the signing window, Apple does not allow iPhone, iPad and iPad Touch users to revert their operating system versions to either of the latter once they have successfully installed the iOS 9.0.2 update.

Weeks ago, Apple proudly released its iOS 9 that promised a lot of good app and functionality updates. However, the update was not free from bugs, disappointing a lot of Apple consumers.

Given the problems the iOS 9 has, Apple was pressured to quickly roll out an update that fixes most, if not all, of the issues of the software update.

The iOS 9.0.2 update particularly fixes problems with Podcasts, iCloud Drive and iMessages. For the iCloud Drive, the update fixes the bug that interrupts manual backup, Ars Technica noted.

For iMessages, the iOS 9.0.2 update has solved the activation problem of the app. The Podcasts app that reportedly suffered stability problems with the iOS 9 is now stable more than ever.

Other issues solved include the display orientation when receiving notifications and the security issue that enables users to access contacts and photos from he lock screen of any iOS-running device that's been upgraded to the iOS 9.

In case you still have not upgraded to the iOS 9.0.2, here are the simple steps to follow when installing the update, courtesy of Forbes.

1. To download the software update to your Apple device, go to Settings then to General and click on Software Update.

2, Another way of downloading the update is by connecting your Apple device to iTunes and simply click on Summary and look for Check for Update.

3. The software update is about 70 megabytes. Once done downloading, the update can be installed right away.
