Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL were accidentally shown by the Microsoft Store ahead of the company's upcoming event, ZDNet learned. The report further stated that the devices showed a 5.2 and 5.7-inch display.
Now, new leaked images of Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL emerged online. It was posted on the Twitter account of @Windows10Lover.
The new leak shows the camera setup and a triple LED flash, according to Indian Express. Additionally, the leaked images reportedly hinted a dual SIM variant of Lumia 950, but the site said it was not yet known if the dual SIM would be available in a specific market, or internationally.
Other specifications highlighted on Windows Central were an Iris scanner (near infrared) for Windows Hello, Qi wireless charging and Qualcomm rapid charge. Lumia 950 has Snapdragon 808, 64-bit Hexa-core processor, while the Lumia 950 XL has Snapdragon 810, 64-bit Octa-core.
The specs of Talkman and Cityman are astonishing, and mobile lovers are going to enjoy any of the two. However, some tech critics believe that Microsoft's revenue attention is focused on something else, and these phones will help create a halo effect around the company's software and services.
Microsoft will promote Windows 10 as a mobile operating system, focusing on cloud services. As per Forbes, this way, the company will be able to let the public know that it can do mobile for hardware.
Critics believe that when the time comes for a flagship review, Microsoft will be able to put its best foot forward with these devices — something it wasn't able to do with Lumia 830.
The report suggested to look at Lumia 950 and 950 XL not just as pure retail devices. These phones are reportedly strong smartphones "statements" as to the future of Microsoft in the mobile world.
