Love is definitely in the air with rumored couple Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell. But now, Ian Somerhalder's ex-girlfriend was seen supporting her beau at the New York premiere of "Bridge of Spies" on Sunday. The red carpet sighting was the couple's first official public debut.

Nina Dobrev, who previously dated Ian Somerhalder for three years, was an epitome of a supportive girlfriend as she hit the red carpet in a black Versace dress accented with red stripe and a thigh-high slit. While her 30-year-old boyfriend, Austin Stowell, who costars Tom Hanks in the historical film, looked remarkably dapper in a crisp black suit, Us Weekly noted.

While Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell are happily in love, her ex-beau Ian Somerhalder is struggling in his married life. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Somerhalder and his new wife Nikki Reed are allegedly in the middle of divorce plans. The couple, who got married five months ago, has a very different perspective when it comes to marriage.

Somerhalder and Reed's friends were actually worried when they got married. Their pals believed the couple may have rushed in to things. While Nina Dobrev's 36-year-old ex-lover is eager to start a family with his wife, the 27-year-old former "Twilight Saga" star doesn't want to give up her career yet.

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed tied the knot after less than a year of dating. And now with the alleged constant fights, their marriage seems to be a bad idea. Though the rumors remain as mere speculations, Somerhalder's desire to have children was well-documented. Reed, however, has been holding off pregnancy plans due to her career.

"They're arguing a lot. Nikki is ambitious and worries about derailing her career if she gets pregnant now," an OK! Magazine insider said, as per International Business Times.

Ironically, Nikki Reed's baby making blues was also one of the reasons cited by Nina Dobrev during her breakup with Ian Somerhalder. However, Dobrev did not want to settle down.

"Ian was starting to talk marriage while Nina's just getting started on her career," an insider said in 2013. "Nina still loves him but isn't ready to make that huge commitment. She's just too young for Ian."

Meanwhile, rumors have it that Nikki Reed feels insecure on Ian Somerhalder's alleged closeness to his former ladylove, Nina Dobrev, whom he dated for three years before their split in 2013. Reed has been apparently urging her husband to leave "The Vampire Diaries" so that fans would no longer connect his husband to Dobrev.
