Car door — one, Penelope — zero. The poor toddler accidentally got hit right in the face by a car door while mom was not looking. Penelope Disick, 3 years old, is reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian and TV personality and businessman Scott Disick's daughter.

According to TMZ, Kourtney was seen holding her daughter's hand as they were walking towards the parking lot in Malibu on Sunday.

Penelope, clad in a blue dress, denim shorts and tasselled brown sandals and carrying a cute, dark blue dinosaur stroller bag was just mere inches behind her mommy when the edge of the opening car door smacked her in the middle of the face and sent her falling towards the ground.

Penelope's nanny, who was standing just beside the car, a foot or so away from Penelope, rushed to pick her up and comforted the crying little girl who was obviously hurt by the small incident.

In the video posted by Hollywood Life, we can see that Kardashian, at the time, seems to be talking to another kid already inside the car and was therefore unaware of what was happening to Penelope.

The site, however, claims that Kardashian may have been too preoccupied with other things as it boldly pointed out, "As for her mom, she was busy getting herself into the car first while her daughter trailed behind her. Maybe Kourt was just focused on getting into the car quick in order to check her social media to see if her ex uploaded anymore pics of her bare butt."

There is nothing to worry about, fortunately. After a few minutes of tears and coddling from mom, little Penelope is OK and was later seen playing with her mom on the swing, as reported by Mirror.

This minor accident could have been avoided, though. Why was little Penelope not helped into the car first? And aren't nannies supposed to be watching their ward's every move to make sure this kind of thing does not happen? Leave us your comments.
