Microsoft closed the competition gap with Apple and Samsung when it unveiled the Lumia 950 XL, along with the Surface Book, the Surface Pro 4, Microsoft Band 2 and HoloLens, at an even in New York City just more than a week ago.

Specs

Microsoft Lumia 950 XL has a Snapdragon Qualcomm octa-core 810 at 2,000 MHz processor, with a 3,340 mAh battery that is removable. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is expected to house a Snapdragon Qualcomm octa-core 2.9 GHz processor, with a battery power of 4,500 mAh, as per the report on SamsungGalaxyNote6i.com.

Lumia 950 XL runs in Windows 10, according to GSM Arena, while the Galaxy Note 6 is expected to run with the current 2016 Android Operating System. That said, we can expect that it will have the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, unless there is an updated version by that time.

Lumia 950 XL, which has a 5.7-inch quad HD display, has a 20-megapixel rear camera with Tricolor LED, while its front-facing camera has 5 megapixels. Galaxy Note 6, on the other hand, is expected to have a jaw-dropping 30-megapixel rear and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

Microsoft Lumia 950 XL is priced at $649 and is scheduled to be released in November, International Business Times learned. Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is expected cost higher at $1,200, and is reportedly scheduled to be released in Q3 of 2016.
