The royal couple, Kate Middleton and Prince William, have risen as the world's most powerful and influential couple, beating out the Pitts, the Beckhams, the Wests, the Gates and the Obamas in the recent poll. According to Inquisitr, 2,000 voters voted for the royal couple to be on top of the list, followed by Victoria and David Beckham in second. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip finished third while Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie rounded off fourth whereas Barack and Michelle Obama landed on the fifth place.

Since Kate Middleton and Prince William outran Queen Elizabeth II in the latest poll, does this mean the royal couple has a chance to dethrone the Queen as the ruler of the British Monarch? Celeb Dirty Laundry claimed the Duchess is scared that she will never become queen as the Duke of Cambridge contemplated to give up his place in the line of succession over charity works.

The celeb gossip site further cited that Prince William never wanted to be a king and once told her mom, the late Princess Diana, that he wanted a fireman instead. So, when he and younger brother Prince Harry enjoyed their participation in the "DIY SOS: Big Build Veterans," Kate Middleton allegedly became very nervous.

Prince William has always expressed his desire to do something meaningful with his life. However, his wife is reportedly petrified by the thought of him giving up his place in the royal line of succession. So, is this the end for Kate Middleton's royal life?

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton and Prince William are putting their family as their top priority. Another Inquisitr report said that the Duke wanted to be more involved in his family's life. It also added that William wanted to give his children the childhood he always longed for. And as for his wife, the Duke reportedly doesn't want Kate to feel the same pressure that her mother went through in raising him and Prince Harry with little assistance from their father.

"Kate is the one that usually gets them up in the mornings," a royal insider said. "She is big on schedules. When Will is home, he bathes them, reads stories and puts them to bed. William wants to be more involved [in family life] than his father, Prince Charles, was. They want to give their children the childhood Will always longed for."

In other news, Kate Middleton is allegedly having a feud with her mother, Carole Middleton. In fact, Star Magazine (via Star Pulse) insisted that the Duchess is so furious with her own mother that she is threatening to ban her from future royal events. These rumors emerged after Carole's drunken trysts at the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
