Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton in 'Nashville' a reminiscent of recent Mariah Carey, Minaj feud.

The new ABC drama series of "Nashville" created by Callie Khouri that premiered Wednesday night is a winner!
One of the most anticipated series this fall does not fail to meet the expectation of viewers in need of juicy 'feuding rivals' especially after the 'bitchy' feuding between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj on American Idol. Having said that, this is entirely a different show unlike the other reality show, the story is based on fictitious characters but of course with the help of rivals like Rayna James (Connie Britton of "Friday Night Lights") and Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere of "Heroes") that gave convincing performance the story may reach far beyond the 'fiction' boundaries.
The story is about a declining country music star, Rayna unwilling to share the spotlight with a younger rival but her record lable wants her to go on a tour with the newcomer Juliette, whose star is on the rise but instead of giving in, the country queen walks out. That's when Rayna's father, Lamar Wyatt (Powers Boothe) comes with a political agenda, whom she wants little to do, but as a local power-player, he manages to convince Rayna's husband, Teddy Conrad (Eric Close) -- a failed businessman tired of standing in the shadow of his wife's success -- to run for mayor.
With characters that smoothly appears to strike stark resemblance to real music stars Nashville's surely drawing all the attention and of course the meaty drama. More "Nashville" series on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET , ABC.
