It's a good day to be an Android fan because a lot of Android phones are out now in the market, giving them a lot of choices. Among them is the HTC One M9 that even comes with a free Desire 626 or 626S.

As reported by Techno Buffalo, HTC announced a fantastic deal for those who bought an HTC One M9. According to the report, anyone who bought the phone yesterday, Nov. 17, also received and HTC Desire 626 or 626S, available while supplies last.

The One M9 has been recently replaced by the One A9 in the U.S. as HTC's official "flagship" phone, but still remains to be a high-performing smartphone. Pundits said that apart from the mediocre camera, the One M9 remains commendable due to its features like first-class design, amazing front-facing BoomSound speaker and expandable storage.

Neuro Gadget has reported that the phone has an Android Lollipop operating system, with the option to upgrade to Marshmallow.

Although the price is still a bit high, clocking in at $629, the free Desire 626 really sweetens the value of the deal. The Desire 626 features a 5-inch display, an 8 megapixel camera, a quad-core processor and an expandable storage with a basic plastic design. It's a great smartphone, even on its own.

In a similar report by Android Authority, the other free phone called the 626S features a 5-inch HD display, a 13 megapixel primary camera, 2GB of RAM, MediaTek MT6752/Snapdragon 410 chipset and a 2000 mAh battery.

The type of Desire 626 the user will recieve, will also depend on the carrier chosen for the HTC One M9. That means M9 purchases for T-Mobile, Metro PCS or Cricket will ship with a Desire 626S, while M9 orders for Verizon or AT&T will ship with the standard Desire 626.

However, those eager to take advantage of this cool promo from HTC, this is just a one-day deal only. Specifically, for those who bought their device yesterday, Nov. 17.

But of course, we're sure that what you really want to know is the specifications of the HTC One M9.

The phone has a 20 megapixel primary camera with auto focus and dual-LED flash. It also has high-definition video recording capabilities. But nowadays, what phone doesn't?

The HTC One M9 also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 2.0 GHz Quadcore processor and an Adreno 430 for its GPU. Overall, the HTC smartphone is a very capable device despite a bit of age. It's speedy and beautifully designed.

According to the report, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will arrive before the end of the year. In addition, HTC already announced a few devices that will receive the upgrade such as the One A9, the One M8 and the One M9 Plus.

Moreover, the report stated that it is just a matter of time until more devices will start running on Android Marshmallow. But unfortunately, most of these device will receive the update sometime in the second or first quarter of 2016.

However, there are leaked i9mages of the One M9 that revealed that it's currently being tested with the new OS. It seems that the smartphone will receive its upgrade earlier than expected.
