The iPhone 7 is already being anticipated despite the iPhone 6s just being released recently.

Alphr reported that the iPhone 6s is the best smartphone Apple has ever made, but with improving competition such as the Galaxy S6 Edge and the Nexus 6P, it clearly indicates that the incoming iPhone 7 not only needs to be an improvement, but must also be ground breaking.

Apple has not made a revolutionary phone since the iPhone 4, which led to other manufacturers such as Samsung, HTC and even Sony to better compete with the company. However, it seems that it finally woke up and, now, rumors are spreading about the features its latest phone will include.

Waterproof

According to reports, the iPhone 7 is finally jumping on the bandwagon and will be completely waterproof. A couple of years ago, Sony did it with the Z2 while Samsung made its own with the Samsung S5. Honestly, if the rumors are indeed correct, it's about time that Apple made their beautiful-yet-fragile phones waterproof.

Display

In a report by Value Walk, the upcoming smartphone is speculated to include a new and improved screen. Over the recent years, the iPhone obviously fell behind the competition.

Sure the so called "Retina Display" looks great, but when compared to its contemporaries, it literally pales.

As reported, the iPhone 7 will receive an OLED display along with Sapphire glass screen and full HD resolution.

Camera

The camera has become a necessary feature in every smartphone so every manufacturer does its best to provide a phone camera that can look sharp and detailed, even in dark situations.

Luckily, this is a feature that the iPhone always succeeds at. Recent reports suggests that the new phone would feature six element lenses, thereby greatly improving image quality.

In addition to that, the rumors also said that it would also possibly have a 16-megapixel camera.

Design

The design of the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s and 6s Plus was rather a hit or miss to users and tech critics alike. Some appreciated the new curvy design that Apple employed while others missed the monolithic styling of previous generations.

According to rumors, Apple will employ an entirely new design concept that would be significantly different from previous iPhones. However, the sizing would remain the same at 4.7-inches.

NeuroGadget said that the new iPhone will have 2GB of RAM and a new powerful and faster A-chip processor, which is rumored to have at least six cores.

The iPhone 7 is coming and it's going to attempt to regain its status as the best smartphone around.
