AMD has recently announced that it will release new products in its computer arsenal. These will include three new AMD processors, AMD drivers and a CPU cooler. It seems the battle between AMD vs Intel is going to the next level.

All these latest AMD products are going out before the estimated release of the company's latest AM4 platform and the new Zen architecture in late 2016.

These new devices consist of the mid-range A6-7470K APUs, high-end A10-7860K and the entry-level Athlon X4 845 CPU. All of them will be equipped with quiet thermal solutions integrating some of the attractive features of Wraith, the extremely silent cooler which was unveiled at the CES 2016.

The new high-end energy efficient AMD processor APU is the A10-7860K. Compared to its predecessors, it has a lower 3.6 GHz base clock speed.  The previous A10-7850K's AMD processor has 3.7 GHz.

The new low-end SKU is Athlon X4 845 which is only slightly below that of the Athlon X4 860K. But it is significantly different since it utilizes the company's Excavator architecture not the Steamroller. With Excavator, the IPC is increased about five percent, with 40 percent less power usage than what Steamroller cores provide.

To heighten the AMD vs Intel battle, the company is also introducing three new CPU coolers which will be applicable to all the company's current product lines. The new high-end unit is the Wraith and there are two new smaller air coolers for lower-end SKUs.

These two smaller coolers will have 95 W thermal solutions and will only produce considerably less noise than older stock coolers produced by the tech company. For comparison, old coolers produce noise of up to 52 dBA, while the newer ones only generate a maximum of 36 dBA. Overall, these new coolers are about 10 times quieter than their predecessors.
