Apple finally adapted the larger screen for its iPhone 6 giving in to the pressure coming from its rivals. Ever since it was launched, iPhone 6s are selling like hotcakes. Since massive amounts of people are using this mobile, naturally, there would also a big number of users who will encounter operational problems.

To help its customers enjoy a worry-free use of the iPhone 6, Apple has issued instructions on how to fix the most common problems that usually manifest when it is used.

1. The unit will not charge

When the unit is plugged into an electric socket and wont charge, Apple recommends the following:

  • Check if the charging accessories and cable being used are those that came with the unit.
  • Try to use another wall socket
  • Check the condition of the phone's port and make sure it is clean
  • Check if the cable and connector are wet and dry them if they are, before charging
  • Re-start the iPhone 6 while it is plugged into the wall socket

2. Screen turns red

The screen turns red and in some instances, it will flash, and then the Apple logo appears. Sometimes the issue is resolved, but there are times that the screen will stay red. Apple recommends the following:

  • Try to hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home Button for about 10 seconds. The Apple logo should appear on the screen.
  • If the problem comes back, there can be a lot of issues involved, such as problem with the software, or a corrupted backup. If that's the case, do the following:

-      Try to hold down the Sleep/Wake button. It will turn off the unit. Turn on a computer and open the current version of iTunes and plug in the iPhone using its USB cable.

-      Hold down the Sleep/Wake button for a couple of seconds until the iPhone 6 kicks in. Keep holding down the Home button. The 'Connect to iTunes' screen will pop up on the computer. Let go of the Home button, and follow the restore procedure through iTunes.
