Is there anybody who is not familiar with General Motors? It is one of the biggest carmakers in the United States and the rest of the world. This conglomerate stands there right at the top with popular car brands like Ford, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, BMW, Hyundai and all the others.
But a General Motors Diet Plan? Is that a kind of diet plan for automobiles? That's the first thing that will come to your mind if you are a car enthusiast. But no, you are definitely going in the wrong direction.
The General Motors Diet Plan is for people - specifically, the employees and workers of the company, and not for GM cars.
Why would one of the most popular brands of cars develop a diet program for its workers? The simple answer is that the management of General Motors Corp. desires to facilitate a wellness and fitness program for all its employees and their families. The diet plan is for their exclusive use.
The General Motors diet program was developed in conjunction with a grant from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. John Hopkins Research Centre field tested the program before it was approved by GM's Board of Directors.
The overall aim of the program is to improve the health of all their employees. It seems their real intention is for their employees to be at the best of health so that they could give their best in helping the company achieve its goals. Either way, it appears to be a win-win solution to all concerned parties.
The main objective of the diet plan is for an overweight person to reduce from 10 to 17 pounds per week. Participating in the program will also help him improve his attitude and emotion due to the diet plan's systematic cleansing effects.
It is a seven-day General Motors diet plan focused on the eating of right foods that burn more calories than what is consumed by the body in calorific value.
