If you're an avid fan of Team #Jelena, then you probably already know this- both pop stars have always been known for putting into a song what they usually want to say to each other or what they want people to know about their relationship. And since the two dated for quite a while, have been on on-again off-again for the most part, it is no surprise that a lot of songs out of Justin Bieber's hit album "Purpose" are for his ex-beau Selena Gomez.

Take a look at 5 of them:

1.       "Mark My Words"

One of his many apologies, this track opens the album. Even the Biebs himself admitted in an interview with Ellen Degeneres that it's actually for her ex-girlfriend.

So you heard it all before
Falling in and out of trust
Trying to rekindle us
Only to lose yourself
But I won't let me lose you
And I won't let us just fade away
After all that we've been through
I'm a show you more than I ever could say

2.       "Love Yourself"

This acoustic hit that was co-written by Ed Sheeran, who happened to be Gomez's past fling, has one of the harshest lyrics out of all the songs, with the pop star admitting how his 'mama don't like her'. The fact that Gomez has "love yourself first" in Arabic tattooed on her back doesn't seem to be just one huge coincidence.

My mama don't like you and she like's everyone
And I never like to admit that I was wrong
And I've been so caught up in my job, didn't see what's going on
And now I know, I'm better sleeping on my own

3.       "The Feeling" (featuring Halsey)

The theme of this song is being uncertain if you're on the same page as your partner and being an emotional disaster in general, given Bieber and Gomez's on-again off-again relationship that lasted for about four years.

Can't get out of my head, and I need you to save me
If I am delusional then maybe I'm crazy
In love with you. Am I in love with you?
Or am I in love with the feeling?

4.       "Sorry"

Despite his explanation that this song serves as the "stamp in the end of the apologies," Bieber later on admitted to the Ellen Show that his relationship with Gomez really did influence this song.

I'll take every single piece of the blame if you want me to
But you know that there is no innocent one in this game for two
I'll go, I'll go and then you go, you go out and spill the truth
Can we both say the words and forget this?

5.       "What Do You Mean?"

Even if he had already denied the involvement of his past relationship with this track, Bieber later confessed to Degeneres that it's still rooted in a way to his ex.

First you wanna go to the left then you want to turn right
Wanna argue all day make love all night
First you up and you're down then you're between
Ohh I really want to know...
What do you mean?
