Cameras will begin rolling for the last installment of "Maze Runner" on Mar. 14. It was also noted that it would be set for release on Feb. 2017, wherein the movie is expected to reveal the return of cast from the past film.
It stands out that there are more things to expect for the next sequel. In line with that, according to Ecumenical News, Wes Ball, the director of the two previous predecessors of the film, will be directing "The Maze Runner: Death Cure" from "The Maze Runner" trilogy.
However, "Death Cure" will not be released in two different parts according to the report. Author James Dashner also wrote a prequel to "The Kill Order" which will be followed by "The Fever Code."
There is still no news confirming that the prequels will have a film adaptation but the huge success of the "The Maze Runner" as well as "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" are keeping the hope of many fans that they will not see the ending for Thomas and his friends.
The last installment of the trilogy will reveal if the WICKED is good or bad. WICKED or World In Catastrophe: Killzone Experiment Department is the one responsible for isolating specific people who are known to have immunity to The Flare.
Wes Balls revealed in an interview with Collider that a time jump is going to take place when "Maze Runner" comes back on the big screen. "This next one will be cool because we're gonna cut maybe a year later," he said. The director believes that this time it will be a different genre for the movie.
The first movie adaptation of science-fiction trilogy "The Maze Runner" first appeared on 2014. It was followed by a new sequel released on 2015. All of them were directed by Ball along with Dylan O'Brien as the lead role.
