"Gilmore Girls" includes the casting of Jess Mariano. Reports are now hinting on a plot involving the character in the upcoming Netflix revival.
Jess Mariano, who played Rory's most empowering boyfriend was initially slated to have a spin-off titled "Windward Circle." The spin-off didn't materialize because it was too expensive to produce. However, the supposed spin-off could provide a glimpse to how and what Jess will be like in the four-part revival series of "Gilmore Girls" in Netflix.
"Windward Circle" originally showed a teaser scene where Jess has been settling in nicely in a Californian lifestyle with a bunch of skateboarding buddies. It's a change of scenery from his dark angsty character in "Gilmore Girls" to becoming a laid back dude. That was just the front of the story because the "Windward Circle" clip also featured a girlfriend and a kid by his side. Does Luke have anything to do with it? Being Jess' male role model and all?
Jess Mariano is known for being the grim guy wearing a dark shirt but his new persona in his cancelled spin-off is a much more colorful and brighter individual. So, maybe his lone wolf character may be gone in the upcoming "Gilmore Girls" Netflix revival. The cancelled spin-off showed a totally different Jess from the past television series.
Confirmed cast members and the production team have not confirmed the plot of the upcoming four-part show which means Jess Mariano's role is not yet known.
With everybody all grown up, do you think Jess Mariano will be much more laid-back in the "Gilmore Girls" reboot? How do you think Rory will act when she sees him? Sound off in the comments section!
