The "Injustice 2" release date may happen together with the "Batman v Superman" movie. The film will premiere in theaters this March.
Attack of the Fanboy reported that the sequel to "Injustice: Gods Among Us" will be coming. However, the "Injustice 2" release date still hasn't been confirmed.
With the "Batman v Superman" movie's release date slated for Mar. 25, 2016, the publication noted that it would definitely make sense for the game to be published together with the film. A new DC-related game would satisfy fans and "Injustice 2" seems to be the perfect title for it.
The "Batman v Superman" movie will also introduce other characters in the DC Cinematic universe. Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) will be making their appearances in the film.
Moreover, AOTFB commented that "Injustice 2" would sell well, regardless of its release date. There are speculations that the highly-anticipated sequel may be released either this month or in April.
According to Korea Portal, Captain Atom, Vixen and Black Canary will make their debut in the upcoming NetherRealm game. Red Hood and Amazo are also expected to appear in "Injustice 2."
YHM added that the game may include downloadable costumes for "Injustice 2" characters from the "Batman v Superman" movie. Costumes from "Suicide Squad" may also be included in the DLC.
In a report by Den of Geek, it was confirmed that Doomsday will be in the "Batman v Superman" movie. He was featured in the film's trailer.
It was previously reported that the "Injustice 2" release date may be happening this April. Last year, game director Ed Boon took to Twitter to tease fans.
"@Official_AIAS @noobde :( Hope you can make it next year! EB: Absolutely! ......unless we ship a game in April 2016 ;)" Ed Boon tweeted.
There are plenty of characters in the game's universe for the developers to use. However, there is still no confirmation as to when the official "Injustice 2" release date will be.
