‘Justice League’ Movie To Be ‘Lighter’ Than ‘Batman V Superman;’ Jesse Eisenberg Inspired Film?

The "Justice League" movie will be a bit on the lighter side than "Batman v Superman," according to Chris Terrio. The writer also revealed how Jesse Eisenberg inspired him to take on the project.
Gizmodo reported that, although "Batman v Superman" will be a dark film, the "Justice League" movie will not have the same tone as its predecessor. Screenwriter Chris Terrio admitted about how he wants to "redeem" viewers from the dark place that "BVS" will take them.
"I expect 'Justice League' will be tonally not quite as dark as 'Batman v Superman,'" Terrio told WSJ. "From that point of view, I felt compelled to go back and try to lift us and myself into a different tonal place because I think when you write a darker film, sometimes you want to redeem it all a bit."
The "Justice League" movie writer also confirmed that "Batman v Superman" is the darkest among the three films. "[It] is a bit of an 'Empire Strikes Back' or 'Two Towers' or any similar middle film in a trilogy," he said.
"The middle film tends to be the darkest one. I do think from 'Man of Steel' through 'Justice League,' it is one saga really."
Meanwhile, according to The Week, Chris Terrio almost walked away from writing the "Justice League" movie. If it wasn't for him being able to watch Jesse Eisenberg's performance at LexLuthor, he wouldn't have stayed with the project.
"I initially thought I wasn't the guy to do 'Justice League' and went off to work on something else," the writer explained. "But the first day I went to the set, I saw Jesse [Eisenberg] in a scene with Holly Hunter and I really did feel like I was watching some strange, great performance in an independent film."
Part one of the "Justice League" movie will begin production soon. It is slated for a Nov. 17, 2017 release date.
