Monday Night's Season 3 finale of Mike & Molly has been delayed until further notice because of a tornado was involved in its plot. The comedy show was schedule to be aired the same night, as when an F4 twister tore through Oklahoma, leaving at least 24 people dead and about 240 people injured.

The episode's plot is deeply intwined with a devastating tornado that is threatening to reach Chicago. During the episode, the couple Mike and Molly will confess important news to each other, as this dangerous threat comes their way.

As CBS received news of the tornado tearing through Oklahoma, it was decided that the episode was not appropriate for the audience and a re-run was played instead. Due to the recent tragedies, the episode will be rescheduled to a later date.

CBS issued a statement regarding the sudden change of schedule: “Due to the tragic events this afternoon in Oklahoma, we are pre-empting tonight’s season finale of Mike & Molly, which has a related storyline. A repeat broadcast of ‘Mike & Molly’ will run in the time period. The season finale will be broadcast at an appropriate date.”

It is uncertain when the episode will be played again, as the topic is still quite sensitive to many. However, the show was confirmed for a fourth season, and it was scheduled to be played midseason 2014.

Melissa McCarthy, the actress that plays the role of Molly Flynn, had recently fired an extra for manhandling a child in her new film "Tammy".
