It is undeniable that "Harry Potter" author JK Rowling has rose to fame and glory. It has been noted that profits are rising for JK Rowling and even her own chair sells for nearly $400,000 at an auction.
A past report from People revealed that Rowling penned two of the much acclaimed book series in that chair. To prove the latter, Rowling herself etched the words, "Gryffindor," and "I wrote Harry Potter in this chair."
Not only that, Rowling also signed the piece before initially auctioning it off in 2002 for $21,000 to benefit charity, and the furniture also comes with an original letter written and signed by Rowling herself, according to the same post.
More words from Rowling included, "Dear new-owner-of-my-chair. I was given four mismatched dining room chairs in 1995 and this was the comfiest one, which is why it ended up stationed permanently in front of my typewriter, supporting me while I typed out Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. My nostalgic side is quite sad to see it go, but my back isn't."
It seems like Rowling's dedication to pursue her desired career has finally paid off. It has been reported by Jobs & Hire that Rowling was once a secretary but then got a pink slip. Since then, she then pursued her passion for writing and the rest is history.
Indeed, JK Rowling's fame has skyrocketed on the four corners of the globe and with that in mind, it clearly implies that dedication, hard work and perseverance can help any career to soar above the level of mediocrity and climb up the ladder of corporate success.
