‘Attack on Titan’ News and Updates: Manga Artist Hajime Isayama Gets Involved With Kumamoto Earthquake Victims

The success of the "Attack on Titan" propelled the creator's name to fame and glory. However, creator Isayama is once again being known for joining another cause that shows his support for the Kumamoto earthquake victims.
A recent post from Crunchyroll revealed, " Many Japanese manga artists have been showing their support to the victims of the Kumamoto Earthquake with newly drawn illustrations, even 29-year-old Hajime Isayama, the creator of the internationally successful series, "Attack on Titan", is one of them, and he has drawn Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Kumamoto Prefecture's mascot character Kumamon and Oita's Mejiron.
As the world watched the terror that shook Kumamoto, the call for support has expanded all throughout the region. A data released by Meteorological Agency, over 780 aftershocks have been detected registering at or over a seismic intensity of 1 since last Saturday when the first big earthquake with a seismic intensity of 7 occurred, according to the same post.
The act that Hajime Isayama has made has also created ripples of interest for those that have watched and followed "Attack on Titan." In terms of personal achievement, the creator of the much-renowned series has gained unprecedented success. With the present edition of the latest 19th volume of Isayama's "Attack on Titan" series ranking first place in the Oricon weekly comic sales chart, Isayama's fame continues to grow.
On a different aspect, the followers of the "Attack on Titan" have waited for the next sequel to arise, many are still hoping that the sequel will be released this year, reports Jobs & Hire.
Hajime Isayama has worked with various illustrations including the recent one that calls to support the Kumamoto earthquake victims. As for Hajime Isayama other works, the volume that he has previously written hit the stalls last April 8 and the released regular edition gained an impressive 1,133,381 copies sold in just a span of 14 days.
