YouTube has redesigned its Home section and made it look clean and simple. Users will find that it is now easier to find and enjoy its latest video contents.
But with regards to its overall look, some users will not find that much of a difference since the video sharing site has been testing this new look on some users for some time according to 9to5Mac.
What YouTube did was not just a minor facelift for it now offers large, high-resolution video thumbnails and also larger icons to indicate who uploaded the videos. The recommendations are also better now.
"We've coupled a fresh design with more relevant personalized recommendations that make it easier to discover videos you'll be excited to watch," said the video sharing company in its official blog.
"The new recommendation system is based on deep neural network technology, which means it can find patterns automatically and keep learning and improving as it goes," the blog added.
The video site has improved its recommendation engine to entice its users to watch its videos even more. That means the company has devised an effective way to go deeper into your mind.
What YouTube has unveiled is a smarter machine learning engine on its iOs as well as Android mobile apps. This enables it to offer better recommendations to its viewers.
With its system based on deep neural network technology, the same system Google uses for getting its search results, users will assist the video sharing site in finding patterns and learn more about what users want with every visit.
That means, YouTube is getting better at watching you.
"Delivering a personal recommendation engine that shows YouTube really understand you is our goal," said Johanna Wright, the company's vice president of product management, in an interview.
"We're able to do this because Google has some of the best machine learning in the world," she added.
