During a break from shooting, the 52-year old movie star went over to greet the fans behind a tall metal fence that separated the crowds from the location.

Walking along the fence to greet the fans, he had spotted a small girl who was slowly being pressed against the fence by the crowd that was gathering towards him.

Going over to where the girl was with some guards he helped the girl get over the barrier, away from the crowd and into his side of the fence.

One onlooker applauded the act thinking it a wonderful gesture from the celebrity.

The movie being shot is the newest undertaking of Robert Zemeckis. Known for his direction of such beloved films as Forrest Gump and the Back to The Future" franchise, Robert Zemeckis' newest undertaking is "Allied".

"Allied", is a World War II spy movie. Filmed on location in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria - an island of Spain's Canary Island group - where the set has been built up to look like the Moroccan City of Casablanca in the '40s.

Pitt has been cast for the role of Max, a French-Canadian agent, investigating his lover Marianne (Marion Cotillard) who is under suspicion of being a Nazi Spy. The plot sounds reminiscent of the classic 1942 film "Casablanca" with Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.
