Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris have split up. The break up may have been caused by the couple's incompatibility.
People reported that the 26-year-old "New Romantics" hitmaker and the 32-year-old DJ have parted ways. Multiple sources confirmed the split to the publication on Wednesday.
"There was no drama," an insider told the website. "Things just don't work out sometimes. No one cheated."
Last March, the pair celebrated their one-year anniversary with a romantic vacation. Calvin Harris even gave the pop star a gold locket with "3.6.2015" engraved on it.
According to E! News, reports about Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris' split came as a shock to many fans. This is because the high-profile couple's relationship seems to be getting serious.
However, another insider has revealed that their romance appeared to have died down. "Adam really liked Taylor, she was not the type of girl he ever dates and he liked that," the source said.
"He started to lose interest over the past few months, but really tried to not just break up. They were just not very compatible in different areas in their relationship. The touring and traveling didn't help. It seemed like they were more friends than lovers."
The source emphasized, though, that the DJ did not cheat. It was "just not a good match."
It was also revealed that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris split up last week. Apparently, the DJ was the one who ended the relationship.
The news comes after Calvin Harris was involved in a car crash last month. HollywoodLife.com reported that Taylor Swift rushed to her then-boyfriend's side to help him recover.
It was said that the singer catered to his every need while at the hospital. "Taylor will make sure, this time, that he puts his feet up and doesn't lift a finger until he's better," a source revealed.
"Thank you so much for your messages and sorry to any disappointment I caused with the show cancellations," the DJ tweeted last May 27. "I'm feeling lucky and very grateful rn," he said in another tweet.
