X-Men might be going to the small screen soon. After all the Marvel movies played out by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, no one would have thought that the franchise is planning on heading to television screens.
Recently, Fox announced that it is bringing an unnamed X-Men show to the network. Along with it, comes a list of comic book, TV and film creators that includes the likes of Matt Nix, Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg, Lauren Shuler Donner, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.
With this diverse and heavy duty squad of talents, one would wonder what kind of mutant Fox is grabbing. This could be the start of someone's acting career as a mutant on screen. According to reports, the story line will feature a family. Two unknown parents with mutant children who find themselves hiding and running from the government. Only to end up in an underground mutant network. It is a story of survival. It is almost like any origin story of X-Men and mutants but the creators are free to tell original stories while still staying in the X-stories classics.
Fox Entertainment President David Madden says that their goal to develop a Marvel property has been a top focus for the company. Everyone is excited that Nix is leading the network into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Fox is no stranger to adapting comics to TV. With its plan to move forward with their first Marvel series, the company is excited to see a brilliant production with a brilliant production crew behind the project.
Marvel Television is excited to be coordinating with 20th Century Fox TV. Matt Nix is a huge fan of the X-Men franchise and with his point of view on the X-Men, he will enrich the characters and the plot. "It's a great team of creative producers who will be making something entirely unique", says Madden.
