"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will hit the cinemas on December this year and fans can't wait to get a hold of what's unfolding in this first stand-alone movie from the Star Wars franchise. Rogue One is expected to veer away from telling the stories of the Skywalkers and is sure to present a set of new complex characters, like criminals and rebels who undoubtedly will fight and try to win an inevitable war.

Actor Riz Ahmed, who will star in the upcoming movie as Bohdi, said in an interview with The Wrap that Rogue One "is about complex characters and murky pasts." He also mentioned that "[h]istory isn't always clear" as the new movie will feature characters making "huge compromises."

Ahmed will play as Bodhi Rook, a cargo pilot enlisted under the Empire but will later deflect to join the Rebellion. Bohdi doesn't have resources and he's not born to fight so when the pressure piles up, he packs his bags and chooses to side with the rebels.

However, fans still wonder as to why Ahmed's character is still wearing the symbol of the Imperial sprocket gear. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ahmed mentioned that fans will question Bohdi's loyalty as the story progresses, and it's something to watch out for. He also compares Bohdi as a plain character, adding that in human world, Bodhi's character will be a truck driver. Thus, his loyalty and roots as to where he came from will be a part of his character's attitude and personality in the movie.

For the past seven Star Wars movies, the film featured the good and the bad side of fighting and winning over the other. However, Rogue One will gamble to tackle into the grey area of what's good and evil as fans are expected to question the morality of its characters.

With the release of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" on December 16th, fans are assured of a daring storyline and the world will judge whether or not Director Gareth Edwards succeeded in taking the Star Wars franchise into an entirely different direction.
