Legendary Formula One driver, Michael Shumacher is reportedly not getting any better. And his massive medical bills might be giving the family some financial problems.
People might remember the famous driver getting into a really life serious skiing accident. He was airlifted to a hospital and underwent a couple of life-saving operations. His slipped into a coma and doctors considered him to be in an extremely grave condition.
The world, especially those who watched the iconic racer's many triumphs on the asphalt, was in shock. They were offered some form of consolation when three months after the accident, Michael Shumacher was reportedly no longer in a coma and is now returning home.
Not much info has been leaked out regarding the state of his condition after that. The family requested a full media blackout to protect their privacy. However, there was still a report that leaked out last month stating that Schumacher was already starting to walk on his own. Offering a sigh of relief to many of his fans.
Unfortunately, it does not seem to be the real case as the family's lawyer has filed a case against the newspaper who published that report.
Gerd Kramer, former head of sports marketing at Mercedes stated in an interview that Michael Schumacher "is in a more difficult situation" and that "it would take a miracle to see him in public again."
Another issue regarding Michael Schumacher's tragic accident is the cost of his medical bills. The special care for the racing star is said to go upwards $150000 per week. This includes intensive supervision as well as state of the art physical rehabilitation. Despite the F1 legends earnings during his impressive championship runs, the price tag is said to be becoming quite hefty for the family.
Hopefully, the racing legend can be victorious and fans will get to see him once again.
