Disney is still tight-lipped about the status of season 4 of "Girl Meets World." And rumors are rampant that the show will be getting canceled because of its teen star's attitude issues.

"Girl Meets World" follows the story of a teenage girl named Riley and her best friend Maya. The show is a spin-off of Disney's "Boy Meets World," whose protagonist is now the father of Riley in the story.

Critical reception has been mostly positive about the show especially with the way it is handling more sensitive teenage issues. So it is a bit perplexing that Disney has yet to confirm if a fourth season is underway.

One big issue rumored to be the biggest reason for Disney's reluctance to announce the fourth season is because of a rift between its teen stars.

Fans already know about this rumor and were confirmed to be an issue through an interview with the actress who plays Maya, Sabrina Carpenter. She said that Rowan Blanchard (Riley Matthews) has been receiving a lot of hate twitter messages about being a fake friend to her co-stars. She added, "I don't understand why that's the motive for people. It's so much easier, I guess, to spread hate."

But Carpenter did add that even if the crew has some issues they would try to do their best to work it out. From that statement, it certainly looks like some tension does go on the set of "Girl Meets World" therefore adding a bit more fuel to the fire.

Another rumor cropping up is that the two stars are desiring to do more mature roles which might explain why Disney is a bit apprehensive in renewing the popular TV show. This could make sense as both stars are already rumored to be pursuing other ventures like music and more mature TV shows.

Hopefully, Disney clarifies this whole issue sooner rather than later.
