It's an end of an era as Kobe Bryant retired last season hanging up his jersey with the Los Angeles Lakers. Now, the franchise is trying to rebuild the team as they acquire young talents in the past NBA drafts. But is this enough? Or are they missing Kobe's presence? NBA trade rumors are spreading that the Lakers might get Paul George to fill in that spot.

After a devastating injury that happened back in 2014, Paul George has played at an all-star level making it to the all-NBA team and all-Defensive team in the 2015-2016 season. He even played for team USA as a sign of redeeming himself. It seems logical why teams are now eyeing on George and according to Metro, the Lakers are trying to get the 6'9'' guard/forward.

The Pacers appear to be in a rebuilding process since the time that head coach Frank Vogel left to join the Orlando Magic. Now, the team needs to have youth and draft picks which involve the Lakers in the NBA trade rumors.

The Lakers have a lot to offer as they have young players like D'Angelo Russel and Brandon Ingram to put on the trading block. The Morning Ledger reports that the Lakers are in need of a superstar due to Kobe's departure and George might be the right man for the job.

The Pacers could get shooting guard Lou Williams, power forward Larry Nance Jr. and small forward Brandon Ingram in exchange for Paul George. This transaction would be legal under the NBA's standards for trade rules according to ESPN NBA trade machine.

Just before the 2016 NBA draft, the Lakers are persistent in negotiating to get George in exchange for their second draft pick. Now, will the Lakers pursue George? NBA trade rumors are always exciting topics.
