"Tokyo Ghoul" will be back with Season 3 this winter anime season 2016. It has already been confirmed and there are changes with the show's production.

According to reports, Madhouse has taken over the project from Studio Pierrot. This may be good news for "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 since Madhouse is known for their hit projects "Death Note" and "One Punch Man."

"Tokyo Ghoul" is a hit  manga and anime series that follows the story of Kaneki Ken who lives in a world filled with ghouls. As Kaneki attempts to have a normal college life, he finds himself near the hands of death as his date turns out to be a ghoul.

This disaster of a date turned Kaneki into a half-ghoul and now needs to consume human flesh to stay alive. This plot alone has gained a lot of hype over the years and fans can't wait to see what is next for our favorite half-ghoul and his friends.

Although winter anime season 2016 is just around the corner, there have been a few leaks about what is to come. According to Anime Maru, they were able to get their hands on the first episode of "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3.
The third season starts out with its spotlight set on Touka Kirishima, something she deserves since she got so little of that during the previous season.  In the first episode of season 3, Touka is seen stressing over her college application.
Touka is having a monolouge with herself as she chooses between three universities; Kamii University, To-Oh University, and Duke University. That being said, it seems Madhouse will still focus on detailing Touka's transition into college life sespite their studio being known for the dark type of show

Moreover, there have been some concerns regarding Touka's future. Some fans are wondering if Touka wil have her hair turn white as well by the end of this season. That querry was answered in avague manner by the animation director. Anime Maru was told to use other college students "As reference."

The anime's writer Bob shared that they are hoping to stick with the source material as much as possible. It is also said that the upcoming season may feature the "most disillusioning, psychological and darkest plot line that we will attempt to adapt."
