Apple has begun selling refurbished iPhones through their online store.The last time it offered phones in its online refurb store was way back in 2007, although supply is limited the availability is guaranteed once the Apple store receives your payment.  

According to 9to5mac, Apple has never sold refurbished iPhones on its online store. While it's offered computers, tablets and accessories or even a niche device like an AirPort Extreme, but never an iPhone. That has seemingly changed today, as Apple is offering the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6 plus in its online store.

Customers will find the iPhone 6s in 16 GB storage varieties for $449.00. The upgraded one the iPhone 6s Plus is being offered in two storage varieties - 16Gb and 64GB for $529 and $589, respectively. Available colors include Silver, Space Gray, Gold, and Rose Gold as reported by thenextweb.

Good thing about the refurbished iPhone gear is you'll also get a full 1-year factory warranty which makes refurb units a great idea for budget-conscious shoppers . The company says that it ships refurbished devices with brand new batteries and outer shells

In the end its a win-win situation, users can expect to save up to 15 percent ($110) by going the refurbished route. It's also worth noting that all of Apple's official refurbished iPhones are unlocked plus they all include a brand new battery and outer shell. It's as close to a new iPhone as you'll get without actually buying a brand new one.

Keep in mind that supplies of refurbished Apple product tend to fluctuate over time, so if you want one or you need one that's cheaper and actually feels brand new, now is the time to purchase one.
