After two dreadful months of investigation, actor Brad Pitt has been officially cleared of child abuse accusation. Department of Children and Family Services confirmed there was no pattern of abusive behavior.

As previously reported by JobsNHire, the child abuse allegations on the 52-year-old actor surfaced after his recently estranged wife actress Angelina Jolie filed for divorce last September. It was put to the public and been brought to the authorities when an anonymous caller gave the Los Angeles DCFS a tip on the actor's assumed argument with his eldest son, Maddox while aboard a private plane.

The investigation was also further examined and even the Federal Bureau of Investigation reportedly sought Jolie's full statement on the matter. For the protection of the former couple's six children, the 41-year-old actress requested for full custody.

Jolie also mentioned in her petition Pitt's alcohol and substance abuse. However, as recently disclosed by Huffington Post, Pitt has been officially cleared as he investigation wraps up.  Also, the actor is seeking joint custody for all their children.

This could probably lead to another rift between the two parties. If both pursued custody of their children, it can end to a controversial battle in family court. Jolie, on the other hand, despite her request of full physical custody, will allow scheduled visitation for Pitt and their children.

Meanwhile, it was also reported that the actress is "relieved" now that her ex-husband is cleared of the allegations. She said it has been hard for her but most especially, harder for their kids.

Pitt and Jolie met while filming "Mr. & Mrs. Smith". They have been together since 2004 but only got married 10 years later. Together, they had six children-Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne. "The job of the DCFS is to make sure the children are in a safe and secure situation," the official statement notes.
