On March 14, 2017, Star Trek fans are going to experience the closest thing to riding an actual Constitution-class star ship Enterprise and taking it for a spin across deep space. But that's just half of the good news. Recently, this game has been deemed accessible to a broader range of consumers.

"Star Trek: Bridge Crew" is one of the latest video games in the jam-packed development itinerary of Ubisoft Entertainment. Just recently, this game was granted a Rated E rating by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).

Players as young as the age of 10 can play with adults regardless of the age gap. An article published by Attack of the Fan Boy summarizes the game mechanics of the virtual reality simulation.

"Star Trek: Bridge Crew" follows a first-person perspective while assuming a role of any of the four officers aboard the Enterprise. Players can perform multiple specific tasks befitting one's role. One can choose to portray the captain, the pilot, the engineer or the weapons system technician.

A report published by Tech Radar describes the unnervingly realistic multidimensional experience from the perspective of a player. The game's online multiplayer system practically puts two players in the same room (or in this case, the ship's bridge) not withstanding the fact that they could have been thousands of miles apart in real life.

This is putting social media to a whole new level of real-time virtual interaction. "Star Trek: Bridge Crew" also captures the true meaning of the word 'teamwork' since it takes four participants to play the game.

An article by Jobs & Hire features the upcoming release of "Watch Dogs 2" in the coming days. But perhaps, this child-friendly game has a remote potential of eclipsing their bigger title counterparts. This game is playable in Oculus Rift for Xbox One, Play Station VR, and HTC Vive for PC.
