‘RED’ Short Film Teaser: Cate Blanchett Plays Spider-Woman Who Eats Men After Sex

Cate Blanchett has always been known to start in the most challenging roles in movies but in the new short film "Red," she plays her most demanding one. The role is that of a woman who, after engaging in sex, weaves a web and eats her mate.
The Short film "Red" is a creation of Australian Del Kathryn Barton who plans to export her fame to the United States. Film critics say it is an experimental project since the recent release of its teaser.
The female red-back spider of Australian is known to devour its mate after copulation with the tiny male spider spinning into her mouth after a moment of bliss. At times when the female is really not hungry, she keeps her mate properly stored in her web for later consumption.
According to Screen Crush, that is how one can describe the role Cate Blanchett has to play in the short movie film "Red." The character in the movie is aptly named "Mother," a beautiful buxom lady with a unique after sex meal preference.
The film exemplifies female power with its extreme display of control over the male persona. The venomous "Mother" savagely devours her meal in the movie which intermingle real spider mating scenes with human footages.
The camera tricks can really sicken any viewer who is afraid of spiders but will bring jolts of passionate surges to one who loves Cate Blanchett and unafraid of spiders. Film critics are advising viewers to take care and avoid to be eaten
The short film is about sex and passion coupled with meaningful death. These are acting themes that Cate Blanchett, with her two Academy Awards, can really thrive on.
At first Del Kathryn Barton did not really expect that Cate Blanchett that will accept the role of "Mother." But when Blanchett did, Barton was really elated and all things went well with movie.
