According to the official blog of PlayStation, Content Producer of Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe, Corey Brotherson confirms that PSVR and PS4 Pro will be compatible to "Gran Turismo Sport".
"PS4 Pro marks a historical moment. It's the first time video games are going to exceed and better the quality of images in movies, broadcasting, and packaged media out there," says Kazunori Yamauchi, CEO of Polyphony Digital, professional racing driver and producer of the "Gran Turismo" series.
"I think the world of 4K and 60 FPS is a pinnacle for the games industry, and to be able to provide that sort of quality on a home console is something special," he added. To produce the maximum potential of "Gran Turismo Sport", the developers are hoping that PS4 Pro with its added horsepower at 60 fps will bring much life and overwhelm the players in the most realistic scenario as possible.
"With GT Sport, a powerful engine is everything - and PS4 Pro pushes the game into an eye-catching fast lane featuring dynamic 4K, targeted 60 frames per second, HDR, an 18 GB VPS uncompressed stream, and wide color support. What that all means is the races are smoother, slicker, and more vibrant than they've ever been. And as any car enthusiast knows, the details are part of what drives the passion," said Brotherson.
"Gran Turismo Sport" will not be shifting gears with PS4 Pro. Polypony is planning in incorporating "Gran Turismo Sport" into PSVR. Imagine all the possibilities that this announcement entails. I'm seriously hoping that "GT Sport" will not take me for granted.
"The raw, live feel that you get when you sit in the cockpit of a car using PS VR is something that wasn't possible in GT before," said Yamauchi-san. "The tracks are 'very interesting' in VR, and confirms that gamers will be able to examine the interior of cars."
