The latest update of "The Last Of Us 2" is that there are a lot of rumors the game is already in process of development, but there no clear confirmation yet on when it would come out. Whether it be 2018, 2020 or 2021, one thing is for sure, it seems that the game will come out. So what can we expect when the 2nd installment of the game finally becomes available?

According to MobiPicker, the depth of the story of "The Last Of Us" is what made fans and players gravitate towards the game. So it's only natural that the 2nd installment also focuses on the story depth of the game.

The story  line of "The Last Of Us 2" should be more about what happened right after Joel's daughter died. Players would want to see how Joel survived the 20 years.

Developers could also look into how Joel and Ellie's journey continues after they returned to Jackson.  Will Ellie leave Joel after finding out he lied about the fireflies or will she continue and fight beside him?

Fab Newz reports that the latest update on "The Last Of Us 2" is that the game will feature new protagonists. This is to provide a sense of freshness to the 2nd installment.

Naughty Dog programmer Neil Druckmann is well known for the characterization in his projects. The characters dynamism and diversity are key factors in making them successful and resonate with the players.

So its also safe to assume that "The Last Of Us 2" will feature a significant improvement than the first installment. In terms of gameplay, more game mechanics, and more diverse areas would be a welcome addition.

Another update about "The Last Of Us 2" is that the game might follow the lead or Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and come out with a virtual reality mode. This will allow users to immerse fully in the game's horror experience.
