A lot of things are best left unsaid and this definitely rings true for those employees who are a little bit too chatty when it comes to talking to their bosses. There are just some words that could land a worker in trouble.
While talking to the boss from time to time can be a great way to get to his/her good graces, there are also times that it can get an employee to his less than desirable side. According to Business Insider, here are some of the things that bosses do not like to hear from their employee.
Being too passionate about politics
Politics has the ability to divide a nation, allies, and even the closest of friendship. It is essential to refrain from speaking too passionately about politics when speaking to your boss. Or better yet, avoid the topic altogether.
However, if the boss insists on talking about Politics then it might be best for the employee to make this talk about this in a light-hearted manner. An employee should not get too personal with these issues, especially to their boss.
Never say the word impossible
While it is true that some tasks that the Boss give can be insurmountable. Never ever say that right to his face. The employee must never let their boss see them as a negative person and they must do their best and let their boss figure out for themselves how difficult the task is.
The Boss is Wrong
Do not tell the boss he is wrong outright to his face. This will just hit his ego and can get an employee in hot water. There are other ways to tell the boss that he made a mistake. Try saying something like, "I may be wrong, but I think that..."
