"Star Wars Episode 8" is set for release on December 15, 2017, seven months after its original release date if May 26, 2017. That is far off but fans are already excited as to how the plot will unveil in the next sequel.

It is still in the works and does not even have a known title but fans continue to find ways to get advance information on the story. The most common scenario many fans believe in is that in the "Star Wars Episode 8" will be the last appearance of Luke Skywalker in the saga.

Cinema Blend believes that as Luke Skywalker appeared in that last scene of "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens," it left no clue whether he will be on the next sequel or not.  If he appears in "Star Wars Episode 8," it will probably be his last. Daisy Ridley's character Rey is already ripe to take over as the major character of "Star Wars Episode 8."

With Skywalker conveniently retired in his hideaway place, there is nothing in the plot for him but to teach Rey to rudiments of the Jedi knighthood. Rey was last seen offering the light saber back to Skywalker leading many to believe that Skywalker has no other recourse but  to train her in the ways of the force in "Star wars Episode 8."

Morning Ledger believes that there will be training scenes but they will not take up the bulk of the movie just like in the past sequels where Luke Skywalker was trained by Master Yoda. The movie must move on outside Skywalker's hideaway to a universe where a galactic rebellion demands Rey's presence

Luke Skywalker's son Kylo Ren has already turned to the dark side so the best thing for Luke to do is to ask Rey not to kill his son but to bring him back to the light of the Force. How the story turns out will be the thrilling part and as always, the duel scenes will accentuate the ending of "Star Wars Episode 8."
