Last week, Koei Tecmo America announced the spin-off game "Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers", the latest addition to the tactic style games of the popular series "Dynasty Warriors". As per the usual, the game is set in the epic Three Kingdoms period of ancient China.

"Godseekers" is scheduled to release as a digital download for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita on January 31, 2017. The game will be the third of the Dynasty Tactic series that was released on early 2000's. "Dynasty Warriors:Godseekers" will be a standalone spin-off game that is focused on giving the players a different perspective on the events of the renowned saga.

An additional of two characters namely Lei Bin, a keen lore master and his childhood friend Zhao Yun from the ever growing selection of heroes in the "Dynasty Warriors" universe. They will be the main protagonist for the game's storyline. Another character will also be introduced in the person of Lixia, a magical girl that was sealed in an icy shrine for centuries.

"Godseekers" will be set in the chaotic period of the Han dynasty, a time where ancient China is suffering from vicious rebellions and unending civil wars within its empire. The story starts when two friends, Zhao Yun and his friend Lei Bin accidentally freed a magical girl named Lixia from a supernatural prison. The two are then involved in the most crucial battle to save the world and at the same time investigate the mystery that is surrounding Lixia.

The gameplay of "Godseekers" hugely resembles that of "Fire Emblem" and "Final Fantasy Tactics". Players will have their turn in moving their character in tiles and attacking opponents in the adjacent position of their fighter. Once the attack sequence is initiated, a combat animation will show your character attacking the enemy.

Strategizing the positions of your Dynasty Warriors will be the key factor in the game. Positioning your fighters will either make or break your success in the game so players will have to make sure that enemies will not outmaneuver them and attack them from behind.
