The new anime season for "Gintama" has been announced by TV Tokyo with a new broadcast time for networks in Japan. While the air date for the popular alt-history anime is set in January.

The "Gintama" anime series has been sitting warm and cozy in the hearts of many fans since the show premiered back in 2006. As the TV series went along, multiple hiatuses had to be endured by fans to allow the "Gintama" manga to advance further from the anime."Gintama's" final arc has started in the manga back in July, with its latest volume published by Shueisha on November 4.

It is quite possible that the "Gintama" anime series and manga is coming to and end soon as the final arc is already being tackled by the manga series. The last Hiatus that the anime series took was when the latest season of the  "Gintama" television anime series ended in March 2015. As per Anime News Network, the said season premiered in April 2015 and Crunchyroll was able to stream the series at the same time the show was airing in Japan.

According to the official website for the "Gintama" anime series, the show will be getting a new broadcast schedule. TV Tokyo has announced that the new "Gintama" anime will premiere on January 8, which delighted many of the show's avid fans. As for the schedule, TV Tokyo, TV Setouchi, TV Aichi and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting will air the show on January 9 at 1:35 a.m. while TV Osaka will have the premiere on January 10 at 1:05 a.m.

The above is a huge adjustment to the previous broadcast schedule of the "Gintama" anime series which is some sort of a response to the fan complaints regarding the schedule. The old schedule had TV Tokyo and the rest airing the show at 6:00 p.m. which caused some problem with viewers. With the new late night schedule, hopefully, Crunchyroll will be able to stream the new "Gintama" anime series at the same time it airs like the site did in previous seasons.

Although there has yet to be an official announcement by Crunchyroll regarding their streaming schedule for the new "Gintama" anime series, fans can rest assured that it won't take long before they can view the new episodes.
