For the past few days, the internet has been rife with posts and tweets about the uncanny resemblance between Liam Neeson and Fidel Castro. In some of these posts, avid fans are already hinting on a possible upcoming biopic film.

But would the famous Irish actor portray the role of the infamous Cuban dictator? Only time will tell, but anyone can see for certain that the only possible likeness both men share is only their physical features. One needs to account that Liam Neeson's unique voice and accent might throw the Fidel Castro role 'off balance.'

It is important to take note that the emergence of the first wave of facial comparison took place following the death of Fidel Castro on November 25, 2016. An article published by Esquire have readily coined the term 'doppelganger' to measure the extreme similarities between two face.

Considering how recent this viral wave has occurred, talks about the production for a Fidel Castro biopic is still remote from a foreseeable future. However, a report published by Entertainment I.E. has presented other possible celebrities who would fit in the production.

Apart from Liam Neeson portraying the adult and elderly Fidel Castro, "Dark Knight Rises" co-actor Josh Pence seems to fit the role of the younger version of the Cuban dictator. The possibility of Jose Padilha directing the biopic is one of the most first (if not the first) speculations about the possible film production.

For now, Liam Neeson is decked for an upcoming epic drama titled "Silence" together with Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver. Based on an article featured in Jobs & Hire, the veteran Irish actor will play the role of a disillusioned Jesuit priest condemned by medieval Japan's Tokugawa regime at the height of the Christian persecution. "Silence" is derived from a 1966 novel written by Shusako Endo.
