In Season 6 of "Homeland" television series, Carrie is back in Brooklyn (New York) working in a non-government foundation that aids American Muslims. Meanwhile, the Season 6 storyline also highlights the intense rivalry between a CIA Division Chief (Saul Berenson) and a black ops specialist (Dar Adal).

Season 6 is set to premiere on January 15, 2017, on Showtime. The latest reports reveal how much Carrie Mathison's character has been stretched and cultivated, from being a loyal CIA agent in the earlier seasons to a disillusioned private security specialist in the latter ones. Nevertheless, Carrie can still 'carry out' vicious precision strikes with her seasoned reflexes despite her worn out ideology.

A report by the International Business Times reveals that Season 6 is set between the election day and the inauguration of the new president-elect. In line with this, a new set of domestic and foreign policies can directly impact the lives that Carrie is currently backing.

While new political intrigues are brewing a fresh darker cloud, an article published by Ecumenical News features how two of CIA's senior operatives compete for influence. Saul Berenson, the Middle East Division Chief, is being challenged by a rising black ops specialist named Dar Adal. Whoever becomes the most trusted intelligence advisor for the president can direct the course of the overall homeland security.

Curiously, the same article also underscored the neutral but loyal alliance between Carrie and her mentor, Saul. At the same time, she is also very wary of Dar Adal's notoriety.

The latest spoilers reveal how "Homeland" Season 6 starkly mirrors some of the strikingly similar sentiments of the 2016 US elections. An article featured by Jobs & Hire describes the anxiety that American Muslim feel about the current administration's new perspective in dealing with the terrorist threat.
