Towards the end of the hit movie "Captain America: Civil War," Steve Rogers made a remarkable move that unveils another twist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, by dropping off his iconic shield as he walked away from the Captain America cloak. This scene is said to also indicate him leaving the role. But the question is, who will take his place as the next Captain America?

Director Joe Russo revealed that the aforementioned scene indeed signifies Rogers' letting go of his identity as Captain America. And him admitting the conflict between his personal and hero identity's choices. According to Counsel & Heal, speculations came that Steve Rogers personally didn't like the idea of going against Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey. And even regretted initiating the civil war.

Garnering a total of $370 million for the "Captain America: The First Avenger," $744 million on its sequel movie "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and an astounding $1.132 billion on its third and latest film, Captain America is set to be seen again on Marvel's next film "Avengers: Infinity War."

Though the question remained unanswered, rumors are on that either Bucky Barnes played by Sebastian Stan or Sam Wilson portrayed by Anthony Mackie might take his place as the next superhero. Theories also state that the two are the most eligible choices for the role since they are the closest to Rogers. And based on the comics, both have even picked up the shield as per Comic Book's report.

Meanwhile, speculations also ascend that a female Captain America might be flying next in the MCU's fourth instalment. Having the Marvel Comics fully embracing diversity and featuring female superheroes in their covers isn't as much shown in the movie adaptations said the same report. Thus, the time to have such leading in the big screen.

What is your take on this issue? Are you also for Barnes or Wilson as the next Captain America? Or will you embrace a female counterpart? Tell us your views in the comment section below and stay tuned for more Marvel heroes update.
