Some business establishments in foreign countries have gone so big and influential that it controls the government that run them. A few are worth mentioning since they are familiar but others are not really that conspicuous.

It is very unlikely that Japan can be controlled by a company or an association of a few. Yet, Nippon Kaigi or the Japan Conference comprises 80 percent of the cabinet and more than 50 percent of all parliament seats. Cracked reports that with its 38,000 known members, this group just allocated the Prime Minister position back to its member Shinzo Abe.

In Egypt, the most dominating force is the Egyptian Armed Forces. It is estimated that the group controls at least 60 percent of the economy. The group started exercising influence in 1952 with the overthrow of King Farouk and the seizure of the Suez Canal. From that time on, the group never relinquished control and has been responsible for the ouster and installation of practically all Egyptian leaders.

When it comes to business in Russia, the supply of natural gas is the biggest and most dominant of all. Control of this business goes to Gazprom, a business entity that employs more than a million people.  It supplies 82 percent of Western Europe's natural gas requirement providing 158 billion cubic meters in 2015 to European countries; it is political leverage often employed by the Russian government.

The controlling group in Mexico is one that is very unlikely. Sindicato Nacional de Trabajadores de la Educacion is a union of teachers that is the biggest union of any kind in the country with a membership of 1.5 million. Come election time, the candidate it supports wins.

Serco in Great Britain is the most powerful company that is involved into all kinds of businesses in the country. It is a service company that provides most of the military communications systems, runs the system that controls nuclear arsenal, manages the National Traffic Control and many more national installations.  Serco is one of the groups that control the government of foreign countries.
