During the recently held Game Awards 2016, the second trailer of Hideo Kojima's latest game, "Death Stranding" was showed and the spectators are filled with a mix of horror and excitement, bringing the familiar feel that Kojima brought us with "Silent Hill".

The new teaser of "Death Standing" shows a very similar intro with the first trailer that was revealed during the E3 2016. It shows a scene of sea creatures, all dead and lifeless spreading all over the mud. Then it was revealed that a series of black strands of wire runs directly over some dead crustaceans.

According to IGN, the 'stranded' crabs in the teaser will serve as a hint that the new game will be played not on sticks, guns or other weapons but with 'ropes', as Kojima previously revealed in an interview from E3 2016. Seeing the sea creatures all around the teaser, Gyo will also come into mind.

Gyo is a sci-fi horror manga that tells about an invasion of biologically reanimated sea creatures. Considering that Gyo's author, Junji Ito is now involved with the Silent Hill team and the "Pan's Labyrinth" director, Guillermo del Toro, there is no surprise that Ito's twisted imagination will play a huge part in "Death Stranding" whether direct or indirect.

Going on with the trailer, a human figure is shown walking and looking around as a squad of fighter planes zoomed overhead revealing an unfamiliar upside-down rainbow. Scientifically speaking, this rare meteorological event is called a circumzenithal arc which is cause by refracted lights from ice crystals instead of water droplets. This somehow gave us a clue that the world of "Death Stranding" is currently experiencing a huge environmental problem.

The trailer will later show a soldier that will be played by the Hollywood star Mads Mikkelsen. A series of black cables was emerging from Mikkelsen's character that is hooked to different dead soldiers in the area which can be assumed the living proof of Kojima's hint.

According to Game Spot, Mikkelsen will not be the only big name that will work on "Death Standing".  Guillermo del Torro and the Walking Dead star Norman Reedus will also take part in the game with Reedus playing the playable character. For more updates check out Jobs and Hire.
